This family home in Northbridge was given a minimalist revamp by designer Ann King, featuring new polished concrete floors, custom joinery and a warm cedar kitchen ceiling. Carefully-considered lighting design has added a fourth dimension to this gorgeous renovation.

Unobtrusive accent lighting is featured throughout the residence, thanks to the Black Foster and Swap downlights by Arkoslight. The Black Foster range produces a virtually undetectable beam, which can only be observed from underneath; the result is a gently-lit, glare-free space that prioritises visual comfort.

The Swap downlight is a versatile downlight which delivers crisp colour rendering to interiors – allowing the colours and textures of the space to truly stand out.

The Duo skylight by Vibia features a steam-bent oak interior, which adds a natural warmth to the dining area. It sheds an even pool of light over the dinner table while its graphite exterior complements the concrete flooring and Neolith kitchen benchtops.

In the bathroom, vanity lighting is delivered by the Occhio Mito alto. These fittings wash light onto the sinks and mirrors, and can be colour-tuned to deliver illumination that’s as warm or cool as you like.
